You old Queen. [09 Jul 2005|01:55am]
[ mood | Republican ]
[ music | mad boy ]

Yesterday I saw the Queen on T.V saying "These terrorists shall not change our way of life"

Shes right, we will continue to be chauffeur driven everywhere and live in Palaces. We will continue to never step outside without an armed bodyguard or seven.
And we will continue to consider ourselves separate from all other cultures and classes, never getting on to one of those smelly common tube things if you paid us.
It's the proud London way of life. No wait thats just her.

What she meant to say was "They shall not change YOUR way of life by blowing You up"

You are right, I haven’t been posting in a while. I could bore you repeating you that at times I find it difficult to write, here. I could fake you, by saying that I have too much to say to write, here. I could
surprise you by showing you all the projects that have been crowding my life in these last few months. But do not worry, You too know that I won’t do it.
Mine for you it is not a condemnation, but rather a cessation of love: exactly as Pasolini said to the youngsters in his Luteran letters in1974. An argument that could very much work these days, almost like
everything else Pasolini said. However it is not always like this: sometimes I miss writing here, but there are already so many (people?) to over-crowd the web with idiocies giving them out for absolute truths, to which I do not feel like adding mine: the digital web can easily do without.

Do you know there are so many incredible things that are digging me in both good and bad in these days. The scratches on ernest hide mirror are always deeper. Despite the exalting delusions and the anguishing successes I keep swimming, training myself to hold my breath longer: soon or later a deluge will come. Be sure about that. And if you don’t believe me, then believe in “Close my lips”, a book written by Giovanni Arduino, that to begin with should be distributed –for free- to every neo-graduated.
The rest, as always, will pretend to come by itself.
I hug you than, and go: I depart once again. At the end of the day, like you, I am nothing else but a message in a glass bottle.
Laura

Just one toke you pour fool!!!! [27 Mar 2005|12:47pm]
[ mood | sex crazed ]
[ music | kronos ]

FUCK!!
I'm 24 today. Mid-twenties. I could have been in friends ten years ago except i'm not American and i'm ugly. The play I was in finished this week, three times as many people as usual turned out for the final show, I was scared but everyone was brilliant and I wore a brilliant hat (To make up for my performance).I considered leaping onto the table, taring off my clothes and performing a soaring garage version of iggy pops t.v eye but didn't. It may not have been appropriate.

I will cling to 24 like a final bastion, holding out against the currents of adult hood. The river that washes us all out into death and beyond.

Hope to see a few a friends tomorrow night and get more wrecked than i am even as I speak/ type. C u naked figments.

Geek pie refference. [14 Mar 2005|01:18pm]

[ music | what does examinate mean? ]

Dear he/she,

Last week saw my theatrical debut as a cross dressing priest and a middle class plumber.
That's right i've been secretly appearing in a live and highly impovised six part soap opera in the East end. I havn't invited anyone out of blind fear, actually I invited one friend and she was literally in tears of laughter by the end. "It was supposed to be dramatic" I protested.
And while where talking, or rather I'm talking at you, about MY career I'm performing rather alot in the near future. I may post gig details but then again I may get drunk and... well.. not.
If your a small time artist / doer of media things a fun game is to type your own name into google, this is mostly fun/shocking when you find out you have a name sake who's a sex criminal or astronaut as my dear friend did.

Good day,
Reynir.

N.M.E.

Forget the Bravery the coolest band right now are the black-outs.There lead singer Johney black-out got his nick name when he had to be dragged off stage after taking a near lethal dose
of brown sugar and crank crystals. His old band mate Johny-monged recorded his last album in jail where he rents a cell. There music, which is pure 80's pop wrapped in distorted guitars
and post telechtronic wizardry, has been described as "Pure score morrisey" and "post cure Bowie submerged in liquid street" by lauren lavern (We expect). There music has the urgent thrust of doomed genius, catch a hit of there timeless 80s music before they all drop dead in there cowboy hats while having sex with super models in a house they've just burgled.

The black-outs (T.M) are Warner-Bros affiliated artists. They did not come from Kent.

New cultural low....again. [20 Feb 2005|10:11am]
Today the Mail on Sunday printed exerts from the diary of one of the murdered Soham girls Fathers. It was advertised on the radio thus "Read about my personal hell, plus the wonderful dinner Camilla and Charles threw for us in the aftermath...da..da..da".I'd like to say this made me really sick, like cramped up on the carpet sick but no...it just felt inevitable.Like a sketch from Brass Eye.

In the West we have a way of comforting the devistated, bereaved and destroyed, we let them meet celebrities. Ali, who'd been disfigured and bereaved by the Iraq bombings got to meet David Beckham and This pour guy got to meet Chalses and Camilla (and was told off for calling him Chalse not his royal Highness).I can't blame this man for selling his most intimate memories to a piss rag tabloid as I have no idea what a person goes through after such events. I could blame the Mail but what's the point, the presence of there warped morality feels as old and constant as time to me. I can only really blame myself for just kind of accepting it.

Fact times importance = NEWS.... [07 Feb 2005|11:55am]
Chris morris has a new series starting on Friday.I have spent the last day and a half watching Brass eye and Jam on D.V.D and am now almost certainly mad beyond any humanitarian aid.
The times described Morris as Britains greatest living satirist and then said his new series was probably crap and not funny, although maybe being crap is his new ironic stance/clever protest.

The day today was funny, Brass eye was ingenious and cruel, and Jam was...well Jam was an acidic brain porridge that dripped like a slow release sachet of mind manure down your favorite white trousers.
But it's over now..thank the lord.

So find out what it's actually called (Nathan something...) and watch it.Then shrug.

and remember the Bomb Dog sketch........

A sharp intake of breath [16 Jan 2005|08:34am]
Friday night was the opening of the new show I'm in, it's based on the theme of disturbed childhood (or something like that) and features some lovelly Tim Burton style work. this includes a giant tangle of white baloon animals strung up on a revolving meat hook (by Adam Latham ) and an ornate childs dress disintegrating into a shower of hovering fabric butterflies (by Sue Blackwell). Plus a gaggle of other groovy sculptures and paintings Some of which I recognized from pretty high profile shows and magazines.
So I feel more like a real (Whatever the ---- that is ) artist than I did last week.
Maybe it's time to do an M.A, think about a career, the endless bickering about what is and what isn't...arrrh can I take it....can I?
pictures to b posted soon I hope.

Nice to be back, sewing my little plot of cyper space.

My robo-sapian friend [info]silveraj just posted a really sweet picture of us together on Barcelona beach (and me lurking in the shadow of a big stone pillar - junkie style).
